THE SPEAKER -- His Passion & Drive

For over a decade, Mike Domitrz has been inspiring college students with his hilarious sense of humor and his uncanny ability to draw hard-hitting emotion from audiences. Schools constantly rave about what a lasting impact he has with their students.

Why does Mike have such an intense passion and drive to share with college students? In 1989, he received a phone call that his sister had been raped. As he held the phone tightly to his ears, he simply could not believe what he was hearing. Mike decided to make a difference. As he researched the issue of sexual assault and dating on college campuses, he constantly heard students complaining that most sexual assault seminars were boring and depressing. Mike knew what needed to be done.

With his background in entertainment, he created "Can I Kiss You?"RM -- a fun, interactive, and thought-provoking program that focuses on why "asking first" makes all the difference. Since 1990, Mike has been motivating and igniting change on college campuses across the country. To bring this one-of-a-kind program to your campus, call (800) 329-9390.

Special Discount from NCAA
How would you like to save $500 off Mike's fee? Mike is a listed speaker for the Health & Safety NCAA Speaker's Grant which means your school may qualify to have the NCAA pay $500 for bringing him to speak on your campus.  To learn more, click here.

Athletes Admire His Honesty & Style
As a state championship coach and a collegiate athlete himself, Mike has a special talent of connecting with athletes.   Instead of lecturing, Mike talks with athletes on an eye-to-eye level.   He provides them with practical solutions and simple skills needed for each person to make positive changes -- in their own life and in the lives of the people around them.   He inspires athletes to take action that will create a safer community....while at the same time greatly improving the image of the athletic teams on campus.

From the rookies of the NFL's Houston Texans to collegiate athletic departments across the country, athletes love Mike's honest and upfront approach.

Founder of National Organization
In addition to his speaking and writing, Mike Domitrz founded and is currently the Executive Director of The Date Safe Project.  Through interactive presentations, creative educational resources, and unique national initiatives, The Date Safe Project is committed to being the nation's leading organization for creating healthier dating environments, a clearer understanding of "consent" and for raising awareness on the many issues surrounding sexual assault.

Awards & Recognitions
While Mike has received tremendous recognition for his books, his activism, and his speaking out to raise society's awareness about sexual assault, his greatest reward is his family of four sons and his wonderful wife!  Their overwhelming support is what makes Mike's work that much more meaningful for him!!

THE AUTHOR -- His Books & Writings

As Mike was speaking throughout the country, he was continually receiving requests from students, educators, and professionals to write a book that would share the powerful lessons he reveals in his "Can I Kiss You?" program.  People wanted a resource that was just like hisMay I Kiss You? A Candid Look at Dating, Communication, Respect, & Sexual Assault Awareness presentations -- interactive, humorous, challenging, emotionally honest, and filled with skill building activities.  From that demand, Mike wrote May I Kiss You? in 2003 . . . to rave reviews.  To learn more about this one-of-a-kind resource, click here to visit the book's website at www.mayikissyou.com.

While writing his first book, he was already planning for his second.  From the inspiration of his own sister and the many survivors he had met over the years, Mike  wanted to write a book that would demonstrate the incredible strength and courage sexual assault survivors display on a daily basis.  In 2005, he brought twelve survivors of sexual assault together from around the country to share their personal journey to healing and recovery in the critically-acclaimed book Voices of Courage.  at:  www.voicesofcourage.com.

You can learn much more about Mike's books and all his educational products (CDs, T-shirts, buttons, tattoos, and posters) in the "Books & Products" section of this website -- including the incredible discounts campuses receive inside Mike's special 100 PACK.  Plus, you can discover the special quantity discounts for campuses who want to distribute these great resources to their staff and student leaders.  Schools across the country have found Mike's books to provide fantastic programming ideas for their own students.
